Presentation Overview: We all dread the request from a customer for an RMA number, followed by the 8D Report for corrective action. There is an arsenal of tools available to the Quality Professional that can be used when dealing with a Quality Problem. So, the key is to pick the simplest process of Root Cause Analysis that should put the problem to bed and make the customer happy. If this can be achieved in a timely manner along with a well-documented report, then the problem can become a great opportunity to gain a customer for life. During this presentation, Allen will share some of the tools that really work for him along with samples of root cause analysis reports, and hopefully we also gain some other ideas that have worked well for you.
