Our organizations are in a natural state of flux and evolution. Whether it’s a planned initiative for which change management practices are being followed or unplanned cultural changes, there are tools to assist with the uncertainties and chaos. We have many different techniques to assist teams with strategies for organizational change. These include facilitation tools that may be used in different ways depending on the situation, leading to robust communication and stakeholder planning for change. The creative change management toolbox contains ideas from gamestorming, human centered design, visual facilitation, dispute resolution processes, and creativity/innovation disciplines. One doesn’t have to be an advanced practitioner to appreciate the tools that can help us prepare for and manage the risks involved with changes instead of muddling through change. An open mind and willingness to assist the team to discover new outlooks is enough. Together we’ll build a facilitation toolbox that will assist teams to develop strong organizational change plans, and stretch our creativity and team problem-solving skills.
