April’s topic will cover remote auditing: Why is remote auditing desirable? How can remote auditing be effectively done? When is remote auditing the right approach?
About the speaker:
Mariel is currently the Purchasing Controls Quality Leader for Johnson & Johnson’s Customer and Logistics Services group in North America. She has held multiple roles within J&J, from the consumer to medical device segment of the company. Mariel has also held other quality related roles in other industries, both regulated and non-regulated at companies including: Zpower, Technicolor and Allergan Medical. Mariel found her passion in supplier management over 15 years ago. Since that time, she has worked with many suppliers in various capacities and has lead multiple supplier audits. Mariel recently shared her knowledge and love of this area by being a contributor to the Certified Supplier Quality Professional handbook, which is used as a study guide for ASQ’s CSQP certification exam. Mariel currently holds ASQ certifications as CSQP, CQE, CQA and CQM/OE.
Mariel received a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland and later pursued a secondary teaching certification in Science at the University of Maryland-College Park, an MS in Quality Systems through the National Graduate School graduate program and is currently enrolled at UCSB’s paralegal certification program.
