When: January 13, 2015 Time: 6:30 dinner and socializing, 7:00 Meeting Where: NuSil Technology LLC, 1050 Cindy Lane, Carpinteria, CA Cost: $15 (includes a sandwiches, salad and drinks) An Overview of Statistical Process Control (SPC) Statistical process control (SPC) is a methodology that helps monitor process behavior through use of Control Charts. This session will go through the various types of control charts, outline their application and use in process improvement projects, and will have an interactive group exercise to see it in action. Note to attendees- Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, we will be shooting projectiles and taking measurement data, so there will be a lot of moving around, possibly on the floor. Speaker Biography: About the speaker: Mr. James Schwartz is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt working as a civilian for Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division. His primary functions include being the team lead for all Continuous Improvement activity, leading high level projects, and providing lean six sigma training to the organization. In his five plus years, he has led the organization in achieving their cost savings goals each year and has trained dozens of Green Belts and Black Belts and mentored them through certification. He is also very active with ASQ, he has served as Secretary, Membership Chair, and Section chair for section 0709 since 2007. In addition, he's been to 3 workshops at ASQ headquarters where he's helped develop content for the ASQ-DON LSSBB Certification and the SSBB Certification. Please RSVP Here!
